OUR HISTORY

Over A Century of Farming Innovation

Founded in 1908, Carnation Farms has evolved from a pioneering dairy farm into a leader in regenerative agriculture and food education.

For generations, Carnation Farms has been a place of progress, growth, and community. What began as a groundbreaking dairy farm became the home of the famous “Contented Cows” and a model for agricultural innovation. Today, as a nonprofit organization, we honor that legacy by embracing regenerative farming, interconnected food systems, and hands-on education.

We took the tour of the historic dairy farm. It was very informative and extremely interesting. They don't use it as a dairy farm now but there's some old equipment some neat cars and all the old buildings. An excellent piece of local history

Love CF. They offer great year round programming for all ages. Definitely worth the drive as it does feel like it is far away from Seattle but worth it.
